BEIJING, July 9 (Xinhua) -- Zunyi in southwest China's Guizhou Province is known for the Zunyi Meeting.
Held in January 1935, the meeting is regarded as a crucial turning point of the Long March which led to the ultimate success of the Chinese revolution.
Since then, Zunyi has become a sacred place for generations of members of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Decades have passed. The former revolutionary site of the CPC has witnessed great changes in all spheres.
Riding on the fast development of industries, improving infrastructure and distinctive cultural tours, the former revolutionary site of the CPC has formally cast off poverty in March of 2020.
Zunyi, where the footprints of the Red Army are forever imprinted on its culture and spirits, is now embracing a brighter future.■
