DAMASCUS, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- A booby-trapped motorcycle went off in Syria's northeastern province of Hasakah on Tuesday, leaving injuries, state TV reported.
The TV said the motorcycle went off in the city of Shaddadi in the countryside of Hasakah, with no further details.
Blasts by explosive-laden motorcycles have become common in Hasakah, where the Kurdish militia groups are in control.
Such explosions are believed to have been carried out by sleeper cells of the Islamic State group.
The Syrian state media outlets have recently reported that areas controlled by the Kurdish militia groups in northeastern Syria suffer from lawlessness.
