BEIJING, July 2 (Xinhua) -- China's National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) will stage "Offering," a widely performed modern dance work, on Wednesday and Thursday.
Based on the dancer's imagination and ideas, the creation of the dance was vitalized by thinking about how people can look for inspiration or energy, like water, in an unpredictable future.
The original form of the performance, a 40-minute dance called "Women of the World," was commissioned by the Dutch International Dance Festival in 2007 and was also the opening work of the festival.
Produced by the Beijing Modern Dance Company, the performance was once invited to be performed in a desert in Dunhuang, northwest China's Gansu Province, where the temperatures are below zero degree Celsius, in October 2018.
