ISLAMABAD, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- At least one person was killed and 13 others injured on Sunday evening in a bomb blast in Dera Murad Jamali city of Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province, local media reported.
According to the reports, some unknown miscreants planted a bomb inside a motorbike and parked it outside a shop in Mazdoor Chowk area in Dera Murad Jamali, headquarters of the Nasirabad district of Balochistan.
Rescue teams, personnel police and security forces rushed to the site and shifted the body and the injured to the district hospital.
The medics feared that the death toll might further rise as at least three of the injured were in critical condition.
Police said around six to eight kg of explosives were used in the blast and it was detonated with a remote-controlled device.
The explosion was heard miles away from the site as it damaged several vehicles, nearby shops and kiosks.
The security forces have cordoned off the area and started a search operation in the adjacent vicinities to arrest the suspects involved in the explosion.
