KUNMING, May 25 (Xinhua) -- Five suspects were arrested and about 70 kg of drugs seized in four anti-drug operations in Dali Bai Autonomous prefecture in southwest China's Yunnan Province, local police said Friday.
Police caught three suspects in two operations on May 2 and seized 10.2 kg of suspected heroin and 18.45 kg of Magu tablets, a stimulant composed of methamphetamine and caffeine.
On May 3 and May 5, police detained another two suspects. The vehicle of one suspect contained 21.4 kg of substances thought to be methamphetamine and heroin, while 19.8 kg of suspected methamphetamine was found in the vehicle of the other.
Further investigation into the four cases is under way.
Yunnan, which borders the Golden Triangle, known for its rampant drug production and trafficking activities, is a major front in China's battle against drug crime.
